The kidnappers insist they will kill the hostages of the Italian people don't condemn the Italian military presence in Iraq. [Guess they haven't been watching the news...the Italian people are very opposed.]
16.00 Fallujah. ITALIAN RED CROSS enters Fallujah bringing in food supplies, water and medicine.
15.50 Fallujah. US SOLDIER killed during gunbattle with guerrillas.
15.45 Diwaniya. ATTACK ON SPANISH PATROL, 5 IRAQIS KILLED near Diwaniya, two other Iraqis taken prisoner.
