What Emergency Management?

President Bush is treating this disaster as if it were the Jonestown mass suicide and not a major US city in dire straits. He continues to foot-drag and to lay blame. Yesterday I heard his appointee, Homeland Security Secretary Chertoff, tell NPR that reports of distress at the New Orleans convention Center were "anecdotal".

How is it that with the trillions the American people have spent on "Defense", the people, the citizens of New Orleans, are left defenseless? The federal government has not even supplied body bags. Worse, the President seems to think that he can rely on charity to solve this massive civil defense crises. Bush as asked Carnival Cruise Lines to "donate" cruise ships for emergency shelter. Asked, when he has the power to seize.

Once can only hope that with the sacrifice of so many lives in New Orleans, the demise of these cynical and cruel neo-liberal SOBs in power is at hand.

Dubya's been told the flooding was cused by the levees breaking and busting the banks.

Invasion is planned for later this week.

The Us attitude of CAN DO seems to be can't do, won't do.

Anyway the good news is Condoleeza (did I spell that right?) has her new Ferrogamo (spelt right) pumps.

So...it's not all BAD news.
