They don't understand empire!

Nur is taking a few days off --to attend the biennial meeting of The Historical Society, which brings together the USA's top historians and foreign "Big Names". An academic expert in the Roman Empire, says he has been invited to the National Defense University several times to explain how the Imperial Rome worked--militarily. He keeps trying to tell them about the other aspects of empire but they don't want to hear it!

- Nur mia,

To use the Neocon’s pseudo-scientific Hegelian vocab, we’re now witnessing an “acceleration of History’s march”: Mogadishu was just taken over by the East African subsidiary of Al Qaeda Corp.

Verily, the paths of Allah are full of “surprises”.

And as if it were not enough, Ben Laden’s zealous disciples have also seized stockpiles of brand new weapons and ammunitions left behind by Rumsfeld’s "Alliance for the Restoration of Peace and Counter-Terrorism", a chaotic coalition of hapless warlords and bloodthirsty gangsters lumped together by the Pentagon’s strategic planners in the name of “the defence of freedom”.

I sometimes wonder if the Bush administration is doing everything it can to best ensure OBL’s victory…
