Wolfowitz: "Because I don't have to"

Le Monde's Washington correspondent, Corinne Lesnes, reports via WaPo that World Bank President and Iraq war conspirator Paul Wolfowitz was at the National Press Club yesterday, where he spoke about peace, poverty and multilateralism, but refused to answer questions on the war on Iraq.

Q. How do you account for the intelligence failures regarding weapons of mass destruction in Iraq?
A. (After a pause) Well, I don't have to.

A crowd of protesters was waiting outside and Wolfowitz decided to leave though an underground exit.
