"Is it the cries of brown children with flies in their eyes" says British blogger-poet P. Iscariot.

For Tex-Aviv couture house this season brown is the new black.

It's clearly a dirty color, the color of feces, Mohammedans and Hispanics.

The color of Arabian olive oil and Spanish grease.

Brown is also the color of terrorism: just look at the post-mortem pictures of Che Guevara and Zarqawi, and the fetid corpses of Shiite children littering south Lebanon’s valley of death...

Bushmert’s phosphorus bombs will bleach their oily skin and purify their dark souls.

They're not even attempting to sugarcoat the destruction of the milk factory by claiming that Hezbollah was using it as a weapons cache or hideout.

It appears that Israel is executing pre-canned war plans the objective of which is to severely damage Lebanon's overall economy. They are taking advantage of this "opportunity" they see to beat Lebanon back as much as possible before this window closes.

The wingnut will argue that Israel couldn't possibly be attempting to crush the economy else they would be bombing central Beirut. The fact is that the more Israel were to bomb Beirut proper, the more negative feedback they'd get from the rest of the world. Perhaps they can continue to get away with hitting low-casualty exurban targets indefinitely.

Supporters may argue that knee-capping Lebanon while they can is "smart" for Israel. Even if that were true, it certainly isn't the moral or "right" thing to do.

There seems an unaccountable belief that , at some time, the US will in some form call a halt to Israel's onslaught.

There seems an unaccountable belief that , at some time, the Secretary of State C. Rice spinster of this parish will appear on her magic carpet / broomstick and as a messenger of AIPAC / ADL tell them to stop.

Explanations why this would happen would be welcome. It seems from here in Europe that the only thing that will stop the IDF is when they run out of shells, missiles, pilots ....
